The team comprises Neil Meldrum, Business Development Manager, Sally Taylor, Commercial and Sales Manager and Kerry Birse, Marketing Executive. The team’s role will be to build on the successes of RDS with its existing client base and consultancy services, and to identify new business opportunities on which RDS can continue to thrive and grow.

Highly experienced Business Development Manager Neil Meldrum arrives from a period of business consulting in the Middle East and UK, continuing a career of more than 22 years in the industry. He has built up considerable experience in business development and management with major firms including Schlumberger, WellDynamics and Sensornet. Neil holds an MSc. in Technology & Management in the Oil & Gas Industry from the University of Aberdeen

Sally moves to the role from her current position with RDS as Finance Manager. She has been with the company for 7 years and brings vast experience in financial and commercial aspects of the RDS business. She is a graduate from the Robert Gordon University and a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Scotland.

A marketing graduate from Stirling University, Kerry is a full member of the Chartered Institute of Marketing (MCIM) and will shortly achieve Chartered Marketer status. She brings oil and gas business development and marketing experience through roles at Technip, Serimax and Weatherford.

In early 2008, BHI formed a Reservoir Technology and Consulting Group which now includes three world class consulting firms – Helix RDS, Gaffney, Cline & Associates (GCA) and GeoMechanics International (GMI). Helix RDS is now part of the Reservoir Technology and Consulting Group that is tasked with enhancing BHI’s capabilities in subsurface and well engineering, geomechanics and energy consulting services. Helix RDS, GCA and GMI all continue to operate as stand-alone consulting firms, but will collaborate strongly in the market place, sharing technology, expertise and resources.

Helix RDS have been selected due to their strong track record of successful execution of exploration,

development and production management projects on behalf of their clients. Helix RDS brings a strong implementation capability to the Reservoir Technology and Consulting Group as well as being a powerful catalyst for integration and growth.

Helix RDS have over 120 staff worldwide, located in offices in Aberdeen, London, Perth and KL.

In glorious sunshine, Iain Martin, Katherine Emeleus and Andy Buchan played Banchory, Aboyne, Braemar and finished the 18th hole at Ballater golf club at 10:15pm. 17 hours of golf, 72 holes and over 15 miles of walking raised over £1300.

Fundraising Manager for Macmillan Katie Smart said “What a tremendous effort the three golfers have put in, I am very impressed with their stamina and the amount they have managed to raise. Macmillan will put this money towards supporting the 2 million people living with cancer in the UK, £1300 could help pay for a Macmillan nurse to support many families through the their cancer journey. Every penny raised will make a difference to a cancer patients life, Iain, Katherine and Andy should be really proud of what they have achieved.”

Helix RDS staff in the Westhill and London offices nominated Macmillan Cancer Support to be the companies UK nominated charity and throughout the year have been involved in numerous fundraising efforts.
